STALLION - R-236F

Stallion R-236F (also known as R-236fa or 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropane) is a high-purity HFC refrigerant widely used in low-pressure centrifugal chillers, industrial process refrigeration systems, and high-ambient cooling applications. With a molecular weight of ~152 g/mol and a boiling point of –1.4 °C, it provides effective thermal performance in large-scale cooling systems. The gas has zero ozone-depleting potential (ODP = 0)  and is classified as ASHRAE safety group A1, meaning it is non-flammable and of low toxicity.  With a global warming potential (GWP) around 8,060 (per Hudson)  R-236F is being regulated and phased down in some regions. It’s ideal for legacy chillers or systems originally designed for R-114 / R-124, offering a drop-in replacement in compatible equipment.
