Gas - R-448 A

R-448A (also known as Opteon™ 448A or Solstice® N40) is a modern, low-GWP HFC/HFO blended refrigerant developed as a direct, drop-in replacement for R-404A, R-507, and R-22.  This zeotropic blend consists of R-32, R-125, R-134a, R-1234ze, and R-1234yf, offering stable performance and high thermodynamic efficiency. Classified as ASHRAE A1, it is non-flammable and non-toxic.  With zero ozone depletion potential (ODP = 0) and a significantly lower global warming potential (GWP ~1,300–1,400) compared to older refrigerants, it supports both retrofit and new system installations.  Compatible with POE synthetic oils, R-448A is widely used in commercial and industrial refrigeration applications such as supermarket racks, cold storage, and transport refrigeration.
