Stallion - R-236

Stallion R-236 (commonly known as R-236fa / 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropane) is a high-purity HFC refrigerant widely used in low-pressure centrifugal chillers, industrial cooling systems, and process refrigeration. With a boiling point of approximately –1.4 °C, it performs well under large capacity and high-ambient conditions. According to data, R-236fa has zero ozone-depleting potential (ODP = 0)  but has a very high global warming potential (GWP ~ 9,810)  It is classified as non-flammable (ASHRAE A1)  making it suitable for safe deployment in closed refrigeration systems. Stallion R-236 is stable, reliable, and compatible with many existing systems, but its high GWP means it is subject to regulatory restrictions and is being phased out in certain markets as lower-GWP alternatives gain traction.
